My distinctive emphasis is to combine the Alexander Technique with my teaching of singing. I have been teaching singing at every level from child choristers to Conservatoire and professional singers for many years.

As a professional singer myself, I found learning and applying the Alexander Technique not only enriched the quality of my voice, but also transformed every aspect of life. I wanted to share the benefits of the technique with my pupils.

This led me to enrol in 1996 on a three year full time course at the West Sussex Centre for the Alexander Technique to train as a teacher. The course gave me enormous insight into how the Alexander technique makes such a vital difference to singing.  If the body is in good alignment and free of unnecessary tensions then it follows that the singing voice will be greatly enhanced.  I find the technique totally influences the way I now teach.
